PURPOSE

The purpose of the Central Carolina School of Preaching is to train men to be ministers of the Gospel of
Jesus Christ. This school proposes to provide a high quality of teachers, students and curriculum to
achieve its purpose. This school shall also be open to persons other than men preparing for the ministry.
Others will be welcomed who desire to better themselves in the Lord's service and who agree to comply
with all requirements of the school.

                                                                           GOAL

The goal of Central Carolina School of Preaching is to provide a tuition free place of learning to those
who are unable or do not wish to attend any of the fine universities, colleges or schools of preaching
among the churches of Christ. It is not our intent to be in competition with any of the aforementioned
institutions, but to join forces with them to provide qualified preachers to our Brotherhood. There is a
need in the Carolinas for a sound institution of learning to comply with the command given in II Timothy 2:
2 "And the things that thou has heard of me among many witness, the same commit thou to faithful men
who shall be able to teach others also."

                                                                     OBJECTIVES

To provide a well-rounded curriculum of study in the Bible as well as related subjects to prepare men of
the Book. Such training will prepare the students for whatever problems and challenges they may face as
gospel preachers.

To teach the God-breathed inspired word, which is perfect and complete, and will thoroughly furnish the
child of God unto all good works. To emphasize the need for accepting the word of God as final authority
in matters of faith and practice.

To provide well trained gospel preachers to fulfill the Lord's command to "Go into all the world and
preach the gospel to every creature…” especially where there is a need or a shortage of sound gospel
preachers.

To emphasize textual study of the Bible and proclamation of it from the pulpit. Preachers must be
students of the Bible and stand for that which is right. They must also oppose that which is wrong (2
Timothy 2:15).

                                                         DOCTRINAL SOUNDNESS

CCSP is absolutely loyal to the principals of New Testament Christianity. False doctrines are refuted and
truth is upheld.  Care is given, however, to have a balance emphasis.  We want to avoid all unscriptural
extremes. It is vital that we not only oppose error, but that we also positively promote all that is good and
right.
